My work experience includes counseling and coaching individuals and couples in the areas of life skills including time management, procrastination, personal coping skills, self-esteem, and personal boundaries issues. Along with skill building, I work with techniques of emotional release supporting individuals who have experienced a personal loss or are having difficulties with assertiveness and conflict management in their work and/or personal relationships. I also specialize in the area of sexual orientation and issues related to diversity, as well as crisis and stress management.
Along with traditional counseling and coaching skills I also employ techniques such as breath therapy, Bach Flower Remedies and meditation to facilitate your process of being in the here and now. I have also trained in the administration and interpretation of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®.
I am a regular member of the Part-time Faculty Department, in the Applied Human Sciences, at Concordia University. My teaching expertise include, Interpersonal Communications and Relationships, Interpersonal and Group Dynamics, Diversity, Human Sexuality and Relationships, and Self Managed Learning.
